Presidential Private Secretary, Mr. Alfred Owiny Thopacu, has urged beneficiaries of the Parish Development Model (PDM) to ensure proper utilization of funds meant to uplift household incomes. Speaking to selected beneficiaries in Kizungu Cell, Nyakasanga, Kasese Municipality, Owiny emphasized that the program was designed to empower locals economically and must be effectively implemented.

His address comes ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s scheduled visit to Kasese next week, where he will assess the progress of the PDM initiative and address any challenges faced by its beneficiaries.

Kasese Resident District Commissioner Lt. Joe Walunsimbi confirmed that preparations are underway to receive the President, who is expected to hold a public rally at Nyakasanga Playground following his monitoring tour.

Beneficiaries such as Mr. Jerome Sibitsomwa and Ms. Pelus Biira testified that the PDM had significantly improved their incomes and living standards. The initiative, aimed at promoting financial inclusion and boosting agricultural productivity, remains a cornerstone of the government’s regional development agenda.
